Experienced Administrator, Fire Alarm Department

Nazeing, Essex – Full Time

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Administrator to oversee our busy Fire Alarm Department. The purpose of this role is to oversee the smooth running of the fire alarm department and to secure new business.

The role of Administrator, Fire Alarm Department will include:

  • Managing the Customer Service Desk for the Fire Alarm Department.
  • Managing jobs from start to finish, this would start with customer quotation, working with the customer and engineer through the installation or service process, invoicing and producing certificates of compliance for the customer.
  • Liaising with engineers daily regarding emergency call outs / new installations, being first point of contact for customers and alarm engineers
  • Producing service and overdue work reports using bespoke computer software.
  • Liaising daily with engineers, building strong rapport / trust with customers and suppliers alike.
  • Diary Management for engineers.

All the above requires a high level of communication via email / telephone / text / face to face contact.

This is a predominantly an experienced administrator role, Microsoft Word and Excel required. Training will be provided on the company’s bespoke customer database. Two years administration experience preferred.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm.

Fire Extinguisher Service Technician, London & surrounds

We are seeking to recruit a full time, qualified and experienced Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to work in London and surrounds. There may be an occasional requirement to work further afield as the workload dictates.

The role of Fire Extinguisher Service Technician will include:

  • Servicing Fire Extinguishers, including, where appropriate, removing to discharge contents and refill.
  • Removing fire extinguishers that are no longer fit for purpose and replacing them with models that comply with British Safety Standards.
  • Liaising closely with clients to ensure their fire risks are minimised and ensuring compliance with British Safety standards.
  • Planning allocated work to ensure customers within your area are seen in a timely manner.
  • Recording work and findings on a personal digital device (training will be given).
  • Liaising with the Service Desk Manager, as required.
  • Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.

As a Fire Extinguisher Service Technician, you will need to be able to work independently as you will mainly be field based. Full training and support will be given by our Head Office in Nazeing, Essex.

Basic salary and commission payable.

Dry Riser/Fire Extinguisher Service Technician, London & surrounds

No experience is necessary, full training for both disciplines will be given to the successful applicant. Fire service, trades or engineering background is preferable.

This position is based at our Essex headquarters, and work is generally carried out in London and Home Counties, however, technicians will be required to cover a wider area as workload dictates.

The role of Dry Riser Servicing Engineer will include:

  • Visiting our customers sites and carrying out duties including wet and flow testing
  • Visual inspections and private hydrant testing
  • Working independently and as part of a team to carry out dry riser services
  • Recording work and findings on a personal digital device (training will be given.)

The role of Fire Extinguisher Service Technician will include:

Dry Riser Technicians

We are interested to hear from individuals with a proven fire service or engineering background. Using Morgan Fire’s own dry riser tenders, the successful applicants will visit our customers sites and carry out duties including wet and flow testing, visual inspections and private hydrant testing. A knowledge of health & safety in relation to dry riser testing will be an advance, however training can be provided.

Technicians will be based at our Essex headquarters, and work is generally carried out in London and Home Counties, however successful applicants will be required to cover a wider area as work schedule dictates.

Salary £ negotiable. 42.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8.30-5.30pm.
